Description

After extensive feedback from players, HEAD has introduced a new Speed Tour Tennis Racquet. As the first SPEED racquet with a smaller head size of  97in², and with its relatively high weight of 10.8 ounces, the Speed Tour 2026 fills a gap between the heavier Speed Pro and the lighter Speed MP. Because of the open 16x19 string pattern, the Speed Tour offers more spin potential and pinpoint accuracy as well, thanks to the smaller head. State-of-the-art Hy-Bor material has been added to the shaft to enhance the stability and signature solid impact feel. The innovations also include Auxetic 2.0 technology for a more connected feel. The Speed Tour is more precise than the MP and more spin-friendly than the Pro. It is an excellent jack of all trades racquet for competitive players.

Expert Review

The middle ground of the Speed line, and an all-court player's frame. A smaller 97 head and a headlight balance that reward touch, net play and a full swing, sitting between the lighter MP and the heavier Pro.

Great for: Advanced and improving all-court players who found themselves between the MP and the Pro. The smaller head suits a player who comes forward and wants precision on slices, volleys and serves, while the comfortable flex keeps it easy on the arm. A good fit if you want a control-leaning Speed without the full weight of the Pro.

Not ideal for: Players who want a larger, more forgiving head and easy free depth. Beginners and those still grooving their strokes will get on better with the Speed MP.

Amazing racquet

"I replaced the base grip (Hydrosorb Pro, 18 gr) with the Hydrosorb Tour (23 gr). Adding 5 gr to the handle made this racquet feel so good. Very nice blend of power and control. With this set up I described, the speed tour (97 sqr inch, 16x19 string pattern) feels like the speed pro (100 sqr inch, 18x20 string pattern), but more maneuverable and with more control, and more spin friendly, due to the more open string pattern. I have to add that this racquet feels arm-friendly as well. This is the racquet I was looking for. I hope in the future Head releases the legend version of the speed tour, to get a fancy all black back up racquet."
