Amanda was born August 31, 2001 in Freehold Township, NJ, but moved to Miami, Florida at the age of 3 for better training opportunities. Her Her father, Konstantin, and mother, Olga, emigrated from Russia to the United States a few years before she was born to give their oldest daughter better opportunities to succeed. Her father was her longtime coach, but passed away in late 2019 causing her to miss the US Open. As a junior, Anisimova was ranked as high as No. 2 in the world winning the 2017 Junior US Open, as well as two other Grade A Junior titles. She also became the first American finalist at the French Open Girls' Singles tournament when she was 14 years of age. She defeated her first top 150 ranked opponent before turning 15 years of age and captured her first WTA title in Copa Colsanitas on April 2019 at the age of 17. Amanda has continued to rise in the ranks quickly when she reached the Women's Singles 4th round at the Australian Open in her first ever appearance, and the Women's Singles Semifinals at the French Open in her second ever appearance. She has an older sister, Maria, who played at the University of Pennsylvania and now lives in New York.
