Ben Shelton is the son of former ATP player Bryan Shelton who got to a world ranking of 55. Ben was coached by his father at the University of Florida, where they won a national championship in 2021. On Shelton's first trip outside the USA, he advanced to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. He possesses a huge lefty serve and a dynamic all-court game that features a heavy forehand.
