Rafael Jodar is a rising Spanish tennis star making waves on the ATP Tour. Born September 17, 2006, in Madrid, the 19-year-old right-hander stands 6'3" and plays with a two-handed backhand. Jodar first gained international attention by capturing the 2024 US Open Boys' Singles title and peaked at No. 4 in the ITF junior rankings. His transition to professional tennis has been remarkably swift. After competing at the University of Virginia, he turned professional in 2026 and dominated the Challenger circuit in 2025, climbing from outside the top 500 to a career-high ranking of No. 34 by April 2026. He captured his first ATP Tour title at the 2026 Grand Prix Hassan II and competed at the 2025 Next Gen ATP Finals. Coached by his father Rafael Jodar Sr., the young Spaniard represents the next generation of Spanish tennis talent following in the footsteps of his idol, Rafael Nadal.
