Description

The Babolat Pure Drive 98 2025 Tennis Racquet (x2)  refreshes the game's premier "easy power" racquet, bringing more control. The shaft of the Gen11 Pure Drive 98 gets FLAX Tape 2.0. Composed of unidirectionally aligned natural fibers, Flax 2.0 filters vibrations for a better feel and increased comfort. What hasn't changed is the crisp and powerful response and the spacious sweet spot that all levels of players have come to know and love. FSI Power technology is back again with enhanced diamond-shaped grommets for increased power and a larger sweet spot. The Pure Drive 98 features a redesigned more square-shaped beam at the 10 and 2 o'clock positions to provide increased control. The frame is perfect for someone who loves the feel of the Pure Drive 100 but wants a little more feel and precision. The more dense 16x20 string pattern will make the racquet more predictable.

This item includes a matched pair of Pure Drive 98 Gen11 racquets. Babolat guarantees a maximum weight difference of 1g.

Features:

-Improved Feel, thanks to Flax Tape 2.0

-Denser 16x20 string pattern for added control

-More squared beam at 10 and 2 o'clock positions for precision

More control

"I bought the GEN11 Drive 98” when it first launched. The touch and feel are still there, but you may want to reconsider lower string tension for more power. I use a hybrid configuration of ALU poly on the mains, and natural gut on the crosses. *I now keep my racquets in my closet! My few times playing with these racquets is more control than the previous GEN10 racquets. The feel, touch, and sound of a well-struck ball is still there. Aesthetically the reflective “Babolat” scrip inside of the frame is sharp! But the Big Question, should you upgrade from the previous 98” to this “98? Maybe, if you’re a 4. 0 and above player needing a bit more control."
