Description

The HEAD Prestige MP L 2023 Tennis Racquet brings Prestige characteristics to a lighter spec. HEAD's Auxetic construction is used in the bridge of the racquet, and now an Auxetic cage at the end of the grip further refines the feel. An Auxetic reaction adapts it's internal structure to offer superb feedback and an impressive feel at impact. The new technology is designed to inspire confidence by giving active, real-time feedback during play. HEAD's Graphene Inside tech places the material in key locations of the frame for greater energy transfer and stability.
The MP L has a thin 21.5-millimeter beam, 99 square-inch head, and a 16x19 string pattern. These are control characteristics to be sure, but the 10.6-ounce unstrung weight makes the MP L much more playable than the heavier Prestige Pro and Prestige Tour models.

String Recommendation: HEAD Hawk Touch 17 at 50 pounds

Features:

-Lighter weight allows more players to experience prestige level control.

-The elongated shaft design features a classic flex that has been a hit on tour since 1987.

-Full CAP grommet for unrivaled sound and stability

Great results after time and tinkering

"I agree with both Moose & Hulk. Takes some time and tinkering with lead tape to get to a solid & reliable racquet experience. I'm very happy now with the feel and performance of this racquet. Control, power and stability."

Control, yes; up the power with lead tape.

"I agree with Moose that it takes a while to get used to this racquet. I added some weight tape to increase the power of the racquet, which helped a lot. Now, I'm very happy with it."

Hulk (4/5)

Good

"Great racket but need to have a lot of practice with it to get use to it and hit its sweet spot continuously. Provides great power and stability when hitting against pace but is super hard to get used to."
