Description

HEAD added a new Auxetic 2.0 construction for a refined feel at impact with the Gravity MP 2025 Tennis Racquet. The Gravity features a smooth, glossy finish with some subtle color-shifting elements. The teardrop-shaped head provides a Sweet Zone head shape, which places the widest section of the head higher up in the hoop. This design rewards competitive players who attack the ball with racquet head speed, and who prefer a softer flex. HEAD revamped the grommet construction with a half-cap design, which is more durable and also improves the racquet's stability. The Gravity MP 2025 is an arm-friendly racquet for an intermediate player who wants power, and spin without a loss of feel.

String Recommendation: HEAD Hawk Touch 17 at 52 pounds

Features:

-The deeper flex groove softens the cross-section geometry in the shoulder area for an enhanced impact feel.

-Auxetic 2.0 provides an improved feel at contact

-Flip Cosmetic

-New grommet structure for better stability and durability.

Expert Review

The friendliest way into Head's feel-first line, and one of the most arm-friendly frames on the wall. A light, soft-flexing 100 with a huge, high sweet spot that hands an intermediate power, spin and comfort in one racquet.

Great for: Intermediate players who want a comfortable, forgiving frame that still delivers power and spin without losing feel. The soft flex and Auxetic 2.0 construction are easy on the wrist, forearm and elbow, and the teardrop Sweet Zone lifts the sweet spot for fewer shanks. Versatile enough for the baseline or the net.

Not ideal for: Advanced players who want a heavier, more precise control platform. Those players should look at the Gravity Tour for more spin and control from a 98, or the Gravity Pro for the full control frame.

What took me so long!?

"What took me so long!? I have been using an old Head Radical for over 20 years now and was starting to feel elbow pain. Also noticing the racquet more unforgiving when not doing a full swing. The new Gravity MP felt so easy to swing, soft on the elbow, and still letting me be in control. I recommend this racquet to older payers looking to remain in control, but with a more forgiving racquet overall."

Player's dream racquet

"Excellent blend of control and precision. Not as much power in this racquet, but you can swing freely and place the ball exactly where you want."
