Description

Dunlop's FX 500 Tour Tennis Racquet delivers commanding baseline power that transforms aggressive court play into an effortless art form. As the heaviest frame in the FX lineup, the 500 Tour provides smooth, stable power that flows naturally through each swing, making it ideal for players who demand consistent baseline aggression. The racquet's traditional 98 square inch head size paired with a versatile 16x19 string pattern delivers exceptional spin potential alongside remarkable forgiveness, creating that sweet spot sensation on every well-struck ball.

Players from beginner to advanced levels will appreciate how this power-oriented frame competes with tour-level performance, requiring minimal effort to generate impressive depth and pace across the court. The FX 500 Tour enhances this effortless power through innovative POWER WAVE GROMMETS that expand the sweet spot while amplifying power generation, POWER BOOST + FRAME GEOMETRY that optimizes power delivery precisely where needed, and VIBROSHIELD technology in the handle that dampens vibration for clean, comfortable contact on every stroke.

Features:

-POWER WAVE GROMMETS that increase the sweet spot of the racquet.

-VIBROSHIELD technology, an anti-vibration rubber material built into the hand of the racquet; reducing shock and enhancing feel.

-POWER BOOST + FRAME GEOMETRY, a thickness in certain parts of the racquet's beam that helps generate faster ball speed.

-SONIC CORE built into the frame of the racquet, a material with rebound properties that promote comfort and reduce vibration.

I haven’t recieved the racket

Strong Ezone 98 alternative; needs weight in hoop

"Dunlop obviously targeted two popular stiff 98s, the Ezone 98 and Radical MP, and it really got the racket right to sit the FX500 Tour right in between them. In the Ezone, you get power and ease of use/forgiveness, but poor precision. In the Radical MP, you get power and precision, but poor forgiveness. The FX500 Tour gives you the traditional oval shape of the Radical MP with great feel, predictability, and precision, but you also get some of the Ezone's forgiveness due to the Ezone-like throat flex pattern. It has a very open stringbed (mains skip 7T,9T,7H,9H) that helps you dial up massive spin to control the power. It is slightly less forgiving than the Ezone but that's a reasonable tradeoff for better precision, and it's still much more forgiving than a Radical, Blade or Pure Strike. You're seeing more high-level players adopt this, than any recent Dunlop racket. Really solid update."
