ZhizhenZhang
Born to soccer player Wei Hua Zhang, Zhizhen began playing tennis at the age of 4 because he was small for his age and Wei Hua didn't think he was suitable for soccer. Zhizhen made his pro debut on the ITF in 2012 and later his ATP debut in 2015. Though a foot fracture proved to be a major setback through 2016 and 2017, Zhang came back strong in 2019, winning 2 Challenger titles and ending the year as China's number 1 player, ranked 138 in the world. The 2020s would prove to be a breakthrough year for Zhang, making history as the first Chinese player to qualify for Wimbledon in 2021 and making his US Open debut in 2022. He finished the year as the first male Chinese player to break into the ATP top 100.
