Nicknamed "Stef," he started playing at 3 years old with his parents Apostolos and Julia. He started training at a young age with his other siblings, Elisavet, Petros and Pavlos. After a successful junior career and becoming the world no. 1 junior player he turned professional. He captured his first ATP Challenger title in 2017 and reached his first career ATP final in 2018 at the Barcelona Open. He's made his mark early on the pro tour reaching the Men's Singles Semifinals at the 2019 Australian Open defeating Roger Federer in the quarters, winning the ATP NextGen Finals in 2018, and reaching his first top 10 ranking. Stef's favorite surface is grass and his favorite tournament is Wimbledon. His idol growing up was Roger Federer and he enjoys video games, swimming, table tennis, and movies in his spare time.
