Milos Raonic moved from Podgorica, Montenegro to Canada at the age of three and started playing at the age of eight. His parents, Dusan and Vesna, are both engineers and he has one sister, Jelena, and one brother, Momir. Raonic was among the first group of players to join Tennis Canada's National Training Centre in 2007. He broke through on the pro scene in 2013 when he reached the ATP Masters 1000 Montreal final. The following year he was able to reach his first grand slam Semifinal at the Championships of Wimbledon. In 2016 he reached a career-high ATP ranking thanks to his Semifinal Australian Open run, Indian Wells finals run, and Wimbledon finals run. His favorite surface is hard court and idolized Pete Sampras growing up. His hobbies include watching movies and spending time with family or friends. He is the first Canadian male in the Open Era to reach the Australian Open Semifinals, the French Open Quarterfinals, and the Wimbledon Semifinals. He has more ATP World Tour titles and finals appearances in the Open Era than all other Canadian men combined. In 2012 he established his very own foundation to help disadvantaged youth with economic, physical or other barriers. He's also a big fan of FC Barcelona, the Toronto Raptors and Toronto Blue Jays.
