Kristina Mladenovic was born on May 14, 1993 in Saint-Pol-sur-Mer, France to parents and professional athletes Dzenita and Dragan. She began playing tennis at age 8 and in 2007 became the European Under 14 singles champion. Two years later, at only age 16, she turned pro, winning her first match on the WTA circuit at the 2009 Internationaux de Strasbourg. Her greatest achievements have come in doubles, having won 2 Mixed Doubles titles at the 2014 Australian Open and 2013 Wimbledon Championships, as well as 3 Women's Doubles titles at the 2016 French Open, 2018 Australian Open, and 2019 French Open. She has also played in 5 other Grand Slam Doubles Finals. Her favorite surface is grass, and she speaks French, English, Serbian, Italian, Spanish and some Russian.
