Katerina Siniakova was born in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic on May 10, 1996 to Dmitri and Hana Siniakova and grew up with her brother Daniel. She began playing tennis at the age of 5 and was coached by her father as well as mentored by WTA legend Helena Sukova who now works as a sports psychologist. Her favorite surface is hardcourt, and she loves the Australian Open however, her favorite city is Paris. Outside of tennis she enjoys listening to music and reading detective and sci-fi books. One of her favorite singers is Taylor Swift and Katerina would like to meet her one day. Her tennis idol is Maria Sharapova.
