Born in Quebec, Canada, Eugenie Bouchard is known for her aggressive style of play modeled after her idol Maria Sharapova. She won the Junior Wimbledon Girls Singles title in 2012 at the age of 18. At the 2014 Wimbledon Championships, she became the first Canadian-born player representing Canada to reach the Women's final of a Grand Slam tournament in Singles, finishing runner-up to Petra Kvitová. Bouchard also reached the Women's Singles Semifinals of the Australian Open and French Open the same year. She reached a career-high ranking of No. 5 in 2014, becoming the first Canadian female tennis player to be ranked in the top 5 in singles. Genie is supported by a group of fans that call themselves the Genie Army. She has three siblings, including a twin sister, and is a big Justin Bieber fan.
