Arthur Fils began playing tennis since he was 5 under the guidance of his father until age 12, when he then began training at the French Tennis Federation. Arthur became the youngest French player to qualify for Masters 1000 tournament at the 2022 Rolex Paris Masters. Winning a challenger title at the 2023 Oeiras Indoors II, Fils shot his way into the top 200 with a No. 195 ATP ranking. He later made a Grand Slam debut at the French Open and won a wildcard to play at Wimbledon. His 2023 year would finish with a top 40 ranking as well as becoming the youngest finalist to play at the European Open.
