Though he was born in France, Wimbledon had always been the calling for Arthur Fery, living in the London suburb since his infancy. His mother, Olivia Fery, was a professional tennis player herself, having played at the 1991 French Open in the women's doubles draw. Arthur went to Stanford on a tennis scholarship, playing in the Pac-12 Conference for 3 years, during which he became a two-time ITA All-American. His major debut, fittingly enough, would be at Wimbledon in 2021 as a wildcard in the qualifying rounds. By 2022, Fery ranked No. 1 nationally in Britain for singles and No. 6 in doubles. He was named the 2023 Pac-Singles Player of the Year, having also been a two-time honor roll student and scholar-athlete from 2021-2022. 2025 marked his ATP debut, and fittingly he would also record his first Grand Slam win at that year's Wimbledon, defeating Alexei Popyrin in the first round. Later that year, Fery won his first Challenger title in Barranquilla. His hometown remains his true calling, still, as Arthur would once again compete in Wimbledon in 2026, reaching the quarterfinals from a wildcard draw and breaking into the top 100 singles ranking as a result.
