Description

Ready to turn up the pace? The Tecnifibre Fire 285 Tennis Racquet loads intermediate players up with an impressive mix of speed, spin, and power in a lightweight package. This racquet glides through the air with minimal effort, which makes it great for players who are constantly on the run.

The lightweight feel keeps the fun going at the net, where the frame offers easy mobility to keep you in charge of the rally

Comfort is covered by the X-Damp dampening system, which pairs a steel mass in the butt cap with an elastomer piece inside the handle to absorb harsh vibrations before they reach the arm. The feel is softer and more forgiving than most racquets in this weight class. Your arm will thank you after a long session. The IsoFlex System ties it all together, delivering a consistent response across the string bed and keeping shock and power loss to a minimum on those inevitable off-center hits.

For intermediate players who want a fast, spin-friendly frame that still brings plenty of pop, the Fire 285 is ready to play.

I started playing tennis at

"I started playing tennis at 34 and now at 58 have come a long way in my technique and level of game. Had many issues with my arm 15 years ago and moved into the ProKennex brand with remarkable results. Had switched over the years on newer models but a year ago wanted to try something different. I tried the Pro Staff and loved the amount of control I had with it. Unfortunately, I developed golfers elbow. I want to give it a try to this racket based on reviews and recommendations from an old friend on mine. I´ll keep you posted with the developments but so far (three weeks playing two times a week) I adapted to the new feeling. Its a bit bouncy but as long as I can enjoy for many years to come the sport that I´ve come to love, I´ll make any necessary adjustments. The string that came with the demo (technifibre triax) is the same I put on the two racquets iI bought. It lasted only two games. Now Im going with a hybrid using Kirchbaum super smash on the mains and Kirschbaum synthetic gut on the cross strings. 46 and 44 lbs."
