DianaShnaider
Born on April 2, 2004, in Zhigulevsk, Russia, Diana Shnaider is a left-handed professional tennis player who has quickly established herself as one of the most exciting young talents on the WTA Tour. She began playing tennis at age four and was training seriously in Moscow by the time she was eight, before eventually competing collegiately at North Carolina State University prior to turning pro in 2023. Shnaider's rise has been meteoric. In 2024, she became the youngest woman to win titles on three different surfaces in a single season since Caroline Wozniacki in 2009, and partnered with Mirra Andreeva to win a silver medal in women's doubles at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She carried that momentum into 2025, winning her fifth singles title in Monterrey and teaming with Andreeva to capture doubles titles in Brisbane and Miami, qualifying for the WTA Finals in doubles. She reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 11 in May 2025 — and at just 22 years old, her best tennis may still be ahead of her.
