Andrey Rublev was born in Moscow, Russia on October 20, 1997. One of the biggest hitters on the tour, Rublev favors his forehand side, but is a capable all court player. His biggest win came in Cincinnati in 2019 where he defeated Roger Federer 6-3, 6-4. Rublev has had his share of injury trouble and he missed several months 2018 with a stress fracture in his back, and battled a wrist injury in early 2019. Rublev grew up idolizing Marat Safin and Rafael Nadal, and is coached on tour by former ATP player Fernando Vicente.
