Another new shoe from K-Swiss
Fresh off the successful launch of the Ultrashot 4, Shoe of Frances Tiafoe, K-Swiss has another high-performance offering in the Hypercourt Pinnacle. The Pinnacle is worn on tour by Andrey Rublev, one of the game's biggest hitters and ballistic movers. But what kind of shoe is the Pinnacle, and who is it for? We answer those questions and more in our Hypercourt Pinnacle review.
Playtest Review
-Bootie Construction = More comfort and security
-Carbon Fiber plate = Dynamic and supportive
-A Solid hybrid of speed and comfort
First Fit
The Pinnacle is the most streamlined tennis shoe in the K-Swiss Catalog. If the Ultrashot 4 is built like a tank, then the Pinnacle is a sports car. While the fit is still on the wider side, the shoe wraps the foot closer than a Hypercourt Express 2 or the Ultrashot 4. The Surgelite midsole provides a cushioned ride, but the magig of the Pinnacle is the full-length carbon fiber plate. These two technologies make the first fit both firm and comfortable. Other enhancements include the X-Cinch internal strap, which locks the foot down, and a stabilizing lateral support chassis to help stay in control on the court.
Premium Price....but also Premium Performance
We have heard that old adage, "you get what you pay for". The Pinnacle is on the higher end of the pricing spectrum, but it delivers powerful performance, too. The aforementioned carbon plate increases the shoe's agility, and it provides support in the forefoot that many lighter models skimp on. The energy return factor is complimented by the duo of Shock Spring and SurgeLite midsole foams.
Durability
While the Pinnacle has a molded PU cage in the high wear zones, the shoe is not designed to be as durable as the Ultrashot 4. It IS designed for speed, agility, and comfort. The outsole is plenty tough thanks to Draguard and AOSTA rubber, which is designed to combat hard-court wear and tear.

Final Thoughts
The Pinnacle hits all the right notes for me. It fits my foot well, and the shoe balances speed and agility with comfort and support as well as any tennis shoe out there. The sock construction is one of the industry's best, and the forefoot support is very impressive. Though the price is on the higher side, if you want speed, support, and comfort, the Hypercourt Pinnacle is an excellent choice.
