Tatjana Maria (née Malek) is a mother of 2, and even after taking a second maternity leave in 2020 is proving to be as fierce a competitor as ever. She is married to her coach Charles-Edouard Maria, who also happens to be a former French tennis player. Though her career high peaked at rank No. 46 back in 2017, her stride has come much more recently with her singles career titles coming in 2018 at Mallorca and in 2022 at Bogota. Tatjana speaks German and English, and her favorite foods are Mexican and Italian. Besides tennis, she also has an interest in handball, which her father happened to once be a professional player in.
