Babolat RPM Blast Black 16g Strings
Description
The Babolat RPM Blast 16 is the string of choice for Rafael Nadal, and Jo-Wilfreid Tsonga. RPM Blast stays with the octagonal profile but enhances the spin generation through the use of a new dye and coating. The cross-linked silicone coating is designed to allow the strings to slide across each other easier. This serves two purposes, the first is that the string can move easily, effectively allowing the stringbed to play as a more open pattern. The second, of course, is to enhance durability by lessening string to string friction. Babolat's RPM Blast is a popular choice among strong baseliners seeking durability and spin to dictate the action.

Incredible String

This string provides incredible comfort (arm friendly) as well as ridiculous amounts of spin and control in all areas of the court. You can easily hit deep shots with heavy topspin that drop in at the last second and "jet up" off of the court and over your opponents head immediately. Truly a great string.

I recently strung my racquet with RPM and I was so surprised with these strings. For one, I can generate more spin than with Luxilon strings. Second, the strings hardly ever move! Since I started using RPM, two of my tennis friends asked me to string their racquets with RPM. Additionally, the feel with theses strings is fantastic if you are a baseliner because you have so much control.

Really liked the string for about two weeks until it broke. Not usually a big string breaker, so i was rather disappointed with the durability of this string. But it did give me some extra spin. Switched back to Luxilon spin.

The RPM blast was a very good string for me. I strung it at 55 pounds and the topspin it produces is amazing. I find that I can really swing through the ball and find that it lands in. I would recommend it over pro hurricane tour because of the durability.

Im hooked on these strings! i use them on my babolat aeropro drive and they give me access to a huge amount of spin and power. i dont think i would ever use anything else. a little hard on your elbow if you tend to have arm problems but if you do a hybrid mix of these and some synthetic gut it will not bother you at all.

This string got me a lot of spin and really, lots of power. Its durability of a fullbed RPM kind of died pretty quick on me. Now its like a rocket launcher that lost its shape...
However, having a Western forehand, its no big deal! I let the RPM do my power while I generate the spin!

I switched from the Prince Top Spin Strings to these because I got a better feel for the ball when I hit with them. I was more confident with my backhand and felt like I could hit through the ball even more. You get amazing amounts of topspin in the ball and great spin when serving. Im sticking with these!

RPM Blast is one of the best strings ive played with. Going to get more and probably try the 17g strings. String your tension at 53 or lower would be better on the arm.

I was using Hurricane Pro @ 60 lbs which was too hard for my son 14 Years Old. I switched to RPM Blast and reduced tension to 56 lbs which was the right thing for him. Though the feel is quite good and he can get more topspins easier.
I think RPM Blast helps him a lot.

This string exceeds expectation, I have tested a number of racquets and strings that go with them. I have also tested the Babolat aero+gt with stirng i happened to did not know of but I suspect that it was a Babolat string too. that one responded well if you are not using a dampner. RPM Blast Black is quite different, with a tension of 56 lbs and with a slightly large dampner, I am yet to discover its performance. I tested it with the dampner on and off and also by sliding the dampner up and down. I discovered that the racquet and string responded more satisfactorilly when the placement of the dampner is atleast 1 1/2 cm from the first cross string with at least 1/2 cm from the frame, therefore in my opinion I need to use a smaller round dampner than this elongated oval that I am using now, otherwise the string the RPM Blast Black is a tough and great performing Babolat product.

This is one of the many times I have been buying these strings. For a synthetic, it delivers marvelous spin if thats what you are looking for. Great durability when at higher tension. For some reason, it does not last that long when the tension is low. I guest the lower tension allow for more movements when in contact with the ball. But who cares. As long as your game is in control, keep using them. I have tried many other strings in search of ability to spin the ball. So far, this is the best. Be careful, if you are not too familiar with this string, you might produce unwanted spins that may disrupt your type of game such as deepening the ball into the net frequently, and adding sideway curves when not hit properly. This can cause the ball to fall outside the court when aiming for those side lines. Serving can be amazing with these strings. If hit correctly. When used with an aeropro racquet, it add extra punch to it. Great product.

I have played with various synthetic gut or gut strings. On the average, these strings lost tension within 2-3 weeks of playing and controlling the ball became an issue. Initially I was concerned that the RPM blast may be too stiff. Not so, when the racquet is strung at the mid tension range. RPM bites the ball adequately with racquet head acceleration to generate quite a bit of action on the ball. It is resilient and racquet retains its tension for at least a couple months before I have to re-string. I gave it a 4 star for performance because I still like gut in terms of feel and control. But when you analyze the cost/benefit as a recreational player, you may wish to consider this string.

I love to hit the ball as hard as I can, and I found myself breaking strings at least every 3 months. One day I came to Tennis Express and was suggested the Babolat RPM Blast strings, they cost a lot more, but their worth is beyond measure. I have been using the Babolat RPM Blast strings for a little over a year, and I was using 2 rackets both strung with the same strings and I just recently had to get my racket restrung. In terms of play, these strings add more power, and one of my favorite things is they never move, so no having to adjust your strings continually between playing points. If you hit hard and are always breaking your string, or you just want a little more power with your current racket, I would recommend these strings.

I bought this string for my 14 yr old son when I updated his racquets to Babalot. His performance has gone way up and the combination of the string and racquet has helped. Hes getting more power with lots of spin while maintaining control of his shot. Will buy again and again.

The RPM blast was a very good string for me. I strung it at 55 pounds and the topspin it produces is amazing. I find that I can really swing through the ball and find that it lands in. I would recommend it over pro hurricane tour because of the durability.

Im hooked on these strings! i use them on my babolat aeropro drive and they give me access to a huge amount of spin and power. i dont think i would ever use anything else. a little hard on your elbow if you tend to have arm problems but if you do a hybrid mix of these and some synthetic gut it will not bother you at all.

This string is great. If you want string that gives you more feel and pop on the ball this is the string you need. It lets you get more power and spin on the ball. This string also has good durability. Great string. I love it and would recommend it to anybody.

This string got me a lot of spin and really, lots of power. Its durability of a fullbed RPM kind of died pretty quick on me. Now its like a rocket launcher that lost its shape...
However, having a Western forehand, its no big deal! I let the RPM do my power while I generate the spin!

I switched from the Prince Top Spin Strings to these because I got a better feel for the ball when I hit with them. I was more confident with my backhand and felt like I could hit through the ball even more. You get amazing amounts of topspin in the ball and great spin when serving. Im sticking with these!

These strings are one of the softer polys you can play on. It is a really great string which provides maximum about of spin and alot of control with power. RPM Blast is one of the best strings ive played with. Going to get more and probably try the 17g strings. String your tension at 53 or lower would be better on the arm.

I was using Hurricane Pro @ 60 lbs which was too hard for my son 14 Years Old. I switched to RPM Blast and reduced tension to 56 lbs which was the right thing for him. Though the feel is quite good and he can get more topspins easier.
I think RPM Blast helps him a lot.

This string exceeds expectation, I have tested a number of racquets and strings that go with them. I have also tested the Babolat aero+gt with stirng i happened to did not know of but I suspect that it was a Babolat string too. that one responded well if you are not using a dampner. RPM Blast Black is quite different, with a tension of 56 lbs and with a slightly large dampner, I am yet to discover its performance. I tested it with the dampner on and off and also by sliding the dampner up and down. I discovered that the racquet and string responded more satisfactorilly when the placement of the dampner is atleast 1 1/2 cm from the first cross string with at least 1/2 cm from the frame, therefore in my opinion I need to use a smaller round dampner than this elongated oval that I am using now, otherwise the string the RPM Blast Black is a tough and great performing Babolat product.

This is one of the many times I have been buying these strings. For a synthetic, it delivers marvelous spin if thats what you are looking for. Great durability when at higher tension. For some reason, it does not last that long when the tension is low. I guest the lower tension allow for more movements when in contact with the ball. But who cares. As long as your game is in control, keep using them. I have tried many other strings in search of ability to spin the ball. So far, this is the best. Be careful, if you are not too familiar with this string, you might produce unwanted spins that may disrupt your type of game such as deepening the ball into the net frequently, and adding sideway curves when not hit properly. This can cause the ball to fall outside the court when aiming for those side lines. Serving can be amazing with these strings. If hit correctly. When used with an aeropro racquet, it add extra punch to it. Great product.

Bought this string for a friend of mine and he has had no problem with its performance. He liked this string for its durability and felt it suited his racket and play very well. The PH string I bought for myself, recommended for my new Babolat racket. I play tennis 2 - 3 per week and my old string preference did not match well with my new racket. Ive found the PH string matches well with my racket and intend to keep buying it from your store in the future. I have played with various synthetic gut or gut strings. On the average, these strings lost tension within 2-3 weeks of playing and controlling the ball became an issue. Initially I was concerned that the RPM blast may be too stiff. Not so, when the racquet is strung at the mid tension range. RPM bites the ball adequately with racquet head acceleration to generate quite a bit of action on the ball. It is resilient and racquet retains its tension for at least a couple months before I have to re-string. I gave it a 4 star for performance because I still like gut in terms of feel and control. But when you analyze the cost/benefit as a recreational player, you may wish to consider this string.

I recently got my Aero Pro Drive strung with strings also made by Babolat. Tennis Express picked a high quality, gut string and strung the racket at a tension 59 that would emphasize control and balance the natural power of the racket. I love to hit the ball as hard as I can, and I found myself breaking strings at least every 3 months. One day I came to Tennis Express and was suggested the Babolat RPM Blast strings, they cost a lot more, but their worth is beyond measure. I have been using the Babolat RPM Blast strings for a little over a year, and I was using 2 rackets both strung with the same strings and I just recently had to get my racket restrung. In terms of play, these strings add more power, and one of my favorite things is they never move, so no having to adjust your strings continually between playing points. If you hit hard and are always breaking your string, or you just want a little more power with your current racket, I would recommend these strings.

Has a lot of great bite. It also seemed to add power to my shots. I never really have to worry about the ball sailing out. It also works great as a hybrid string too. The only thing that I would have to complain about is that after a good week to week and a half of hard hitting the strings loose their tension. Overall great string recommend this to every one.

Whats going to keep me for now is the significant increase in longevity..

Babolat RPM Blast is the best string Ive ever used. I string my own racquets, so its extremely important that the string lasts as long as possible. RPM Blast is more durable and more controllable than any other string Ive tried. It creates more power and more spin as well.
