Overall, the RQIS 2 Tour is a great racket for a variety of players. For people who have moderate to long swings, this is the perfect racket for you. Weighing in at 10.8 ounces, it can be good for people who want the power and control of a heavier racket, but in a lighter package. The Yonex RQIS 2 Tour has several technologies that set this racket apart from the others. The Cup-Stack Carbon Nanotube technology enables the player to have the right amount of feel and flexibility when contact is made with the ball. Another feature is the Shockless Grommet, which enables the racket to absorb the shock that comes from the impact with the ball. The main feature of the RQIS 2 Tour is the Isometric technology, which gives the racket a more elongated sweet spot.

 

 

Groundstrokes
The Yonex RQIS 2 Tour is typically for people with a more elongated swing motion. While playing with it, I realized that I could hit my forehands and backhands with ease. I felt that I could really take control of the point and work my opponent around the court. I found I could hit both short and deep balls with ease, and get that extra spin that usually comes a little bit easier with lighter rackets. Topspin and slice were relatively easy to hit with the RQIS 2 Tour, and felt a sense of extra control. I also found that I could generate more power with the racket, enabling me to get that extra pop on the ball which helped me defeat my opponent. The 100 sq. inch headsize offered a larger sweet spot to work with. The Isometric technology also seemed to contribute to a larger sweet spot, so there were very few mis-hits while playing with this racket.

 

Volleys
The RQIS 2 Tour was excellent at the net, providing a pop to the ball that is essential for an effective volley. I felt like I could control my volleys very well with this racket as well as incorporating enough power to put the ball away when I needed to. The Isometric technology, with it’s extended sweet spot, really allowed me to have more control and power. I could notice the difference when I was hitting precise and powerful volleys. This racket was not too light, but also not too heavy. This helped me get the racket up and in front of me and helped me carry out split-second decisions easily.

 

Serves
Many different kinds of serves were excellent with the RQIS 2 Tour. I felt that with the head size and weight of the racket, I could hit power serves with ease, and place them with precision in any part of the box. Topspin and slice came very easy with the not so heavy yet not so light feature of the racket. I liked it’s versatility.

 

Serve Returns
I expected nothing less for my serve returns than I had for my groundstrokes. I was able to get my racket up and take a powerful serve and turn it into a very good return. Just like the volleys, I was able to react well to different types of serves, which definitely helped my return. Slower serves that I had time to prepare for, were a delight with this racket. I found I could drive the ball and put it in different corners of the court, becoming the offensive player rather than the defensive.

the RQIS 2 Tour was a very good racket for a variety of players as I previously stated. This racket has proved to be a success with a variety of tennis pros, including Maria Kirilenko and Nicole Vaidisova.
