Tecnifibre TFight 325 VO2 Max Racquet Review

With the 2012 version, the TFight 325 VO2 Max gets an updated cosmetic and some specific fine tuning with silicone added to the handle lay-up to limit bad vibrations for optimal comfort despite a players choice of string. With the overall specs remaining the same to the previous version, this racquet offers the ultimate in control and stability within the TFight line, and is an excellent choice for advanced level players. Faster feeling and offering easier access to spin and pace compared to the previous version this updated  TFight 325 offers outstanding control for the hard hitting baseline player and with the added performance of VO2 Max technology. Tecnifibre uses VO2 Max to facilitate the "breathability" of the racquet. During ball impact the racquet flexes in a particular pattern which is known as breathing. Tecnifibre uses the VO2 Max Technology to regulate the flex pattern of the racquet through the use of Carbon Stabyl Fibers and Carbon Reflex Fibers to achieve the optimal flex pattern.

Tecnifibre TFight 325 VO2 Max

Groundstrokes
From the baseline we found excellent control and feel the addition of silicone seems to have helped make for an even more stable feel. Players with long, fast swings will find good power from the mass of the racquet as well as a spin friendly response. Good  balance and a very nice heft and we found it easy to plow through the ball with while still generating tremendous spin. From both sides we found the extra weight helped produce deep balls and an excellent choice for baseline players.

Volleys
At net the TFight 325 feels extremely solid and despite the weight mobility is impressive and we found ample punch and solid placement on volleys. We had no issues with reflex volleys and touch shots and for strong all court players the TFight 325 is a solid choice.

Serves

The tight 18/19 string pattern provides good ball bite on serves and at the same time allows the sever to hit with good variety and placement. Players looking for control will love the response from the TF325 and we found hitting deep solid serves was easy. The additional mass also helped with power and allowed us to get that extra pop when needed.

Service returns

Just like the groundstrokes service returns were solid and we were able to hit deep returns with lots of control. Even defensive returns were solid and had a very predictable feel and response. Again the extra weight  helps and keeps torque to a minimum.

Overall
The Tecnifibre TFight 325 VO2 Max offers a slighty head light balance and thin 21.5mm beam it offers a more traditional, heavy static weight/head light balance that offers outstanding feel. The dense 18x19 string pattern lends itself to the controlled nature of the past TFight series. Tecnifibre's TFight 325 VO2 Max delivers maximum power along with stability and maneuverability to the solid 4.0+ player who likes to play from the baseline with a patient tactical approach.
