93 square inches, 16 x 18 string pattern, 11.6 ounces unstrung

The green and black paint on the newest Prince EX03 Graphite Pro makes it a modern-day doppelganger for the legendary Prince Original Graphite. And like that frame which has been in many player’s bags for going on 25 years now. the latest version of that classic stick doesn’t disappoint, either.

Complete with the crossbar, this frame is a big hitter’s delight, because it adds a variable many of them are seeking….control.

At 93 square inches, an older graphite material blend, and a 16 x 18 string pattern on this 19 mm thin-beamed frame, the basic specs of the Graphite Pro have made it a favorites for advanced to tour-level players looking for that firm feel for years.

But the new school, square, open port grommets on this new version, add a little flair for this decade and are a nice update (they can also be removed).

The smaller head size puts an emphasis on precision hitting, but the smaller sweet spot is truly a powerful one. Find it and you’ll be rewarded handsomely with an explosive spank. It has a nice flex to it from the baseline, but it’s stiff enough of a stick to handle top-of the hoop and off-center hits without wild results.

Volleys and putaway shots had a crisp feel, and service returns were downright deadly! Playing with the smaller 93, really made me curious to see what the 100 offered off the return, with that larger head size. Serves with the EX03 Graphite generated good pop, and spin shots, especially heavy toppers and lobs, were sweet and easy to pull off.

At nearly 12 ounces strung, the Prince EX03 Graphite is not your grandmother’s stick. It’s also suited more to those with extended takebacks and faster swings.
