Head Youtek Prestige Pro Racquet Review

Groundstrokes
The 16 x 19 open string pattern did a great job of opening up the sweet spot and making this the liveliest of the three Youtek Prestige models. It feels very solid and I had consistent excellent feel from all parts of the court. I got excellent depth on both my forehand and backhand. I found this to be a very maneuverable racquet and I was able to produce very fast head speed and got a ton of spin and pace on my shots. I felt I could rally all day with this racquet, and I was controlling the ball with confidence. The leather grip enhanced the feel and response and it helped make this frame feel solid and consistent.

Volleys
I had slightly less control with the Pro at net and found that many of my volleys sprayed deep. The maneuverability was good and it was very stable. I loved the pop I got on my volleys. I had no problem hitting drop volleys or short angled volleys. The stability I needed was there and the racquet felt good even when up against hard hit passing shots. Overall this racquet was a delight at the net and with a slight adjustment I had no trouble keeping my balls consistently deep.

Serves
I had almost no trouble generating spin and pace with this racquet when serving. I love the power when needed, but more so the bite and kick I was able to bring. I feel that the Pro is easy on the arm when serving and I had no jarring hits at all. I also found it was very accurate with both first and second serves with the open string pattern. I would say serving with the Pro was effortless; a fast, smooth, swing was all that is needed. I was able to hit out on second serves due to the easy spin I was finding.

Serve Returns
This is a solid racquet when returning on both sides of the ball. I was impressed by the solid response when returning period. I felt confident taking big swings from both sides at the ball on both topspin and slice shots. The larger sweet spot and open string pattern really gave some pop on the returns.

Overall
With an open 16 x 19 string pattern players will love the additional pace off the string bed. The liveliness of the response was noticeable across the board; I was very impressed with the power and access to spin. This racquet is impressive and I would definitely recommend this racquet for 4.0+ level players or if you have long fast ground strokes.
