The RZR brings both a bigger headsize and extended length to the new Gamma line. The additional quarter inch in length contributes to both power and stability, while the 105 square inch hoop improves comfort.

Groundstrokes
From the baseline, the RZR 105 was easy and smooth to swing. I had no trouble in finding the sweetspot, and the stability of the frame provided a plush response, especially in comparison to the rest of the RZR line. The open string pattern allows for easy access to spin, but the frame felt best suited for driving through the ball with a flat stroke. Put-aways and offensive drives had plenty of pace, and defensive blocking shots managed to find their way deep into the court. Off center hits, like with many of the RZR frames, created a fair amount of vibration and discomfort, which may turn off players in need of a forgiving racquet.

Volleys
Though not as strong on volleys as groundstrokes, the RZR 105 was an effective frame at the net. The racquet felt maneuverable, and very stable during on-center hits. The sweetspot supplied enough power to punch volleys deep into the court, but enough control to hit shorter angles through the sidelines. Again, like on groundstrokes, off-center hits were far less comfortable due to a combination of racquet shock and frame vibration.

Serves
The extended length and large sweetspot helped add MPH to my flat serves. After a brief adjustment period, I managed to find the right trajectory into the service box. Once I achieved the right depth, I was able to easily control the direction of the serve, keeping my opponent guessing and off balance. Second serves were not as impressive, as the ball did not kick as much as I would have liked. After moving to more of a slice, I had a better time keeping my opponent from attacking my second serve.

Overall
Though the Gamma RZR 105 scores points on groundstrokes and flat serves, it did not provide the level of comfort that I would expect from a 105 square inch headsize. This frame is best suited for accomplished players, 4.0 NTRP and up, looking for a larger sweetspot and access to power.
