Dunlop I.C.E.

What is Internally Cooled Engineering?

This racquet technology is the process that allows Dunlop racquets to be "rapid-cooled," which essentially forms a powerful crystalline fusion of resin and carbon fibre and results in the optimum structure to create maximum strength. This additional strength significantly reduces frame deformation on ball impact and results in much more consistent feel and touch throughout the whole frame.

The I.C.E. line is widely known as the "game improvement" tennis racquet. Because of it's incredible stability brought by enhanced Internally Cooled Engineering Technology™, the hitting with this racquet is rock solid and it can be effectively strung in different ways for different levels of play and control. This essentially means the racquet can be a great buy for players at all levels (tight strings for beginners and looser stringing for those with more advanced skills).

Unlike conventional racquets, Dunlop's I.C.E range is rapid cooled by the use of cool air being blown around the frame on both the inside and the outside of the hoop simultaneously. I.C.E. ridges have also been strategically placed at the top of the frame which not only enhance the rapid cooling process, but form an integral part of the hoop's increased head strength which again fortifies the racquet's stability. This additional strength significantly reduces frame deformation on ball impact and results in much more consistent feel and touch throughout the whole frame.

The added strength of the Dunlop I.C.E. tennis racquet also means this frame will last longer and be more durable than most tennis racquets. The recessed bridge allows the key main strings down the centre of the racquet to be lengthened, which expands the area of the sweet spot and reduces the number of off centre hits.

The ergonomically designed frame geometry provides the soft rubber finish on the sides which in turn improve the feel of holding the racquet in the hand, for enhanced player comfort. Dunlop's patented Thermoplastic Vibration Dampening System™ is above the racquet handle helps absorb vibration and helps protect the arm from tennis elbow and other menacing injuries.
