Head YouTek Graphene Speed S Tennis Racquet

Volkl incorporated its Organix technology into this racquet. According to Volkl, “Organix is high tech carbon nano tubes surrounded by cellulose fibers to give your racquet a springboard effect. Organix will be loaded up with immediately again. Due to extraordinary vibration-absorbing properties, Organix gives your game 30% more dynamic power and handling.”

Groundstrokes
After hitting a couple balls on both my forehand and backhand, I found it very easy to get into a rhythm. I could engage in consistent rallies without having to worry much about trying to keep the ball in. I have a slower swing speed, so when I was hitting with this racquet, I needed to make a conscious effort to accelerate if a wanted to hit with some depth. The even balance made that easier to do, providing the mass I needed to get some good momentum going.

Volleys & Serves
When I was hitting serves with the Organix 6 Super G I had an easy time placing them in the box. Up the T, at the body and out wide shots all were falling into the court with little struggle. As for returns, I found the relatively light weight (10.2 ounces strung) to be an asset; the even balance made it stable enough against hard serves. The maneuverability of the 6 Super G was definitely noticed at the net. I was prepared to hit any ball that came my way. When trying to hit a deeper volley or when at a full reach, I needed to make sure I focused on trying to play the ball deeper because if I didn’t, I often hit the ball shorter than I would have liked.

Fine Points
Volkl Optispot was an impressive feature with this racquet. It’s a design on the frame that is supposed to help your eye focus on hitting the center of the string bed. It’s not going to change your game overnight, but when I zoned in on my contact point, I did notice a difference in my consistency.

Overall
Overall this is a pleasant racquet to hit with. It has many keys features that should attract a lot of players. I would recommend this racquet to recreational or intermediate players looking to continue developing their game. This is a really versatile racquet overall.
