The Nike Men's Air Max Cage Tennis Shoes are the best tennis shoes for optimal control. These sturdy sneakers have great breathability and a serious cushioning system that will provide you with many matches in comfort and stability. They are the shoe of choice for Juan Martin Del Potro as well as many college tennis teams and advanced players..

Performance
When Nike says that these are some of the most stable shoes on the market, they really mean it. Whenever I had change directions quickly, I didn’t feel like I was going to lose control and roll an ankle, which I’ve had problems with in the past. The comfort and durability that these shoes provide is exceptional and live up to Nike’s standards of production.

Durability
Just like the Lunar Ballistecs, I found that these shoes were very durable. These also feature Nike’s six-month outsole warranty, which gives you the options to replace the shoes during the initial six-month period if you’ve worn through the outsole. The sides of the shoes have been built up as well to provide increased durability for shoe drags like me.

Comfort
Even though these aren’t the most expensive shoes, I’d call these the Rolls-Royce of tennis shoes thanks to how well built and comfortable they are. They feature Max Air in the midsole which provides players with a high-level, lightweight cushioning. The upper is made from a TPU-injected mesh cage to give you more breathability without sacrificing any of the shoes stability, which definitely helped my feet as they can getting sweaty after long playing sessions. The shoe also has a wider toe box, so if the Zoom Vapor 9.5 is too narrow for you, be sure to give this shoe a try. This all comes at the price of being somewhat stiff, but if you’ve had ankle problems like me in the past, these are the shoes for you.

Overall
These may not be the quickest shoes on court (14.1 ounces for a size 10) but rest assured, these are some of the most comfortable, stable and durable shoes on the market. So if you prefer a stiffer feeling shoe that provides you with the support you need on court than look no further than the Nike Air Max Cage.
