Intro
Gamma has continued to find success with the Moto polyester string. This heptagonal string is designed to give players even more spin while still providing control and excellent durability.

Power/Spin/Control
I feel that the Gamma Moto is one of the best polyester strings out there today. When you are first hitting with this string, it can be very stiff and firm. It will take a couple of hours to loosen up the string bed before you really notice the ball take off. However, once the string is warmed up a little bit it starts to really add that extra power and spin you are looking for. I typically play with my racquets at 56 pounds, but this string does require a lower tension to get the proper usage out of it. Even though the string provides a great amount of power and spin, there is still good control, which allows the ball to stay in the court as you attack. Your groundstrokes and serve will definitely be happy with this string.

Feel / Comfort
The feel of the Gamma Moto is fairly stiff. It takes some time before you can really start to feel the ball touch your strings. If you tend to string your racquets higher than 56 pounds then I would not recommend this string. It may take a lot of hitting to get used to the stiffness if you go any higher than 56. An ideal tension for this string is probably 52 or 53 pounds because it will not take long to warm up and you will feel the added spin. Players looking for a more comfortable string may need to look elsewhere or hybrid this string with something softer. I have never run into any comfort issues but this string tends to stay stiff throughout your play.

Durability
Another great feature about this string is the durability. This string usually lasts for 3-4 weeks at a time and it doesn’t change too much in terms of tension. I hit relatively hard serves and groundstrokes in my matches so durability is always a key. If you tend to play only once or twice a week the strings will be very durable but may be stiffer each time you play. I would highly recommend playing with this string 3-4 times a week just to keep it from getting too stiff.

Overall
Spin and power junkies will really like this string after playing with it a few times. Although it can be stiff in the beginning, the string’s feel is still there so you can capitalize on your strengths. For players who are looking for a little more comfort, I recommend trying this string with Gamma Live Wire.
