DUNLOP Biomimetic 300 Tour Racquet Review

The Dunlop Biomimetic 300 Tour features newly designed aspects of Dunlop’s Biomimetic technology. The Biomimetic include three new technologies which are: HM6, Aeroskin dynamics, and Gecko-Tac padding. TheHM6 offers a reduced racquet frequency and reduced vibrations up to 10%. Based on the design on one of nature’s architectural structures of the honeycomb, it provides strategic locations of vibration reducing points. The Aeroskin dynamics are designed to reduce aerodynamic drag for a faster and smoother swing speed. The Gecko-Tac is taken from the inspiration of the foot of a gecko, providing the new Dunlop racquets with 50% more grip and absorption than Dunlop’s previous racquet grips. With all these new features from Dunlop, the racquet provided me with the stability and control I was looking for in the 97 square inch head.

Groundstrokes
While hitting my groundstrokes, the racquet provided me with quality control and precision. I noticed I had to extend my groundstrokes and take full and fast swings to get deep shots. With its new technological feature of the Aeroskin, swinging it felt like a steak knife cutting through melting butter; the plow-through was incredible. This racquet has a quality feel for a player who has aggressive and fast swing speed. In addition, I had excellent accuracy on doing slice and topspin shots with the 18x20 string pattern.

Volleys
Having a headlight and lightweight racquet made it a lot easier to be maneuverable at the net. Being that the stick was only 10.75 ounces, I was able to switch from my forehand and backhand very quickly. On another note, I had to hit dead on the sweet-spot to get a quality shot from my volleys. I was able to get drop shot volleys and short volleys in fairly easily, but hitting them deeper I had to give it a little more of a punch.

Serves
Serving with this racquet was great; I was able to place my serve anywhere I wanted. The ease of control of the racquet helped out with the precision and depth I wanted when going for big serves or more spin on my second serve. It was a little bit more demanding compared to my personal racquet, but I was still able to connect and get the accurate shots I wanted on my serve.

Overall
Overall, the Dunlop Biomimetic 300 Tour racquet is a great frame. It provides a player who is looking for control and feel with its new technologies. The Biomimetic technology of the Aeroskin complements players who have a long and fast swing speed with a crisp and fresh feel. This is a racquet more suitable for an aggressive player baseline player or with a NTPR of a 4.0 or higher.

Also, players should check out some of the new Biomimetic bags that would go great with this racquet! Dunlop has released a few in all sizes including 3 packs, 6 packs, and 10 packs to match your needs.  Check out their neat backpacks and gym bags!
