She is coached by father, Dr. Walter Bartoli who enjoys playing chess and introduced Marion to tennis at age six; mother, Sophie, is a nurse enjoys singing; brother, Franck, is in French Army; entire family plays recreational tennis. After graduating CNED high school, Marion started college at Retournac.
She has two cats and favorite movies include Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind, and she loves her mother's apple pie. Other interests include jet skiing, volleyball, basketball . She enjoys hobbies that include painting, listening to music, and seeing movies . Her most memorable tennis experiences have been winning US Open juniors and playing against Davenport at the US Open in Arthur Ashe Stadium. The tennis players she most admires are Pete Sampras and Monica Seles.
