Description
The newest protective coating improves the ever popular king of natural guts making Babolat VS Team BT7 one of the most sought after strings around. Improving on the previous Thermogut coating, the new BT7 treatment claims to increase longevity by up to 15%, increase durability by 25%, and improve the resistance to humidity by nearly 60%. In addition to the new coating, Our testers found that the improved coating made this string play very slightly stiffer than the original VS Touch, but still provided all of the comfort and pop they love. Evidence of fraying was also lessened, hinting at the new improved durability. My Arms Loves Them!

Now have both racquets strung with them. Great control without giving up the power shots. I am not afraid to do a slice, drop shot, top spin lob.
Plus, so user friendly to the arm. Well worth the extra money. I no longer wear a strap for tennis elbow. All players reach a level where their is more depth to their game, this gives your racquet and you an ability to attain and reach for that depth.

The perfect String

The VS gut in my N90 was strung at 48#s. This, over time, will reduce to about 42#s, which, for me, is perfect. VS is soft to the arm and at 42#s it is really soft. An opponets hard hit ball will go back where you direct it. At this tension, I dont break strings, so it last longer and stays more resilent than nylon or poly. I have tried other guts, i.e.; Pacific, etc. and found that the VS is the best for my game.

VS Team 17 ga. is the best string you can put on any racquet! Every play should experience the feel and easy power with control that this string provides. I prefer to use this string full bed in racquets with tight string patterns and in hybrid combinations with a poly or co-poly on the mains. Have tennis elbow or a sore wrist or shoulder Have this natural gut strung up on your racquet, full-bed, a few pounds above mid-tension range on your racquet....youll love it and so will your sore joints.

Feel Good -- Play Good String: A Winner

On recommendation, due to a sore arm and shoulder, I switched to the VS Team BT17 Gut Tennis String. Never looked back, never another pain shot in the shoulder, no arm bands.
Besides all that, my touch, spins, consistency all improved.
Yes, there is a cost difference but weigh it against all the negatives I was going through, well worth it. If you love the game of life, then take good care of your own issues. I cannot recommend enough: if you are having arm, shoulder, wrist problems PLEASE string your racquet at least once with the Babolat gut string. Plus, how much touch you will bring to your game. Smile.

I have been using this string for years as crosses with either Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power Rough or Babalot Pro Hurricane as the mains.Initially was concerned about a thinner gauge string because of durability, so I used string savers and have had great results. Since I have been using, I can't remember the gut ever breaking, it has always been the mains. The string pattern on my racket is 18/19 which I'm sure reduces string friction but also I'm not exclusively a heavy tops spin player .

Got the new Babloat strings right away...Nice feel and great bite on the ball for greater spin. Now if I can play up to their quality I will be happy. Looking forward to seeing how long the 17 last v the 16 I bought last year...

awsome for crosses in a hybrid

I have used VS gut 17g in the crosses regardless of what Im using in the mains for a long time. Makes for a great combination and feel in the hybrid combinations I use.I use string savers to make strings last longer because of the smaller string gauge.

Combination - Great Feel and Pop

Within the last year, I started using a hybrid. I use Babolat VS Team 17 on the mains, strung at 60lbs without pre-stretching, and Luxilon ALU Power Fluoro 17 on the crosses, strung at 57lbs. The power is excellent and the feel is great. It has enabled me to swing the racquet head faster with confidence yet keep the ball in the court. It has also helped my serve placement. Naturally, the combination is easy on the arm and, with 17 guage strings, spin for control seems effortless. The only down side, of course, is that it is not a cheap string job. But, I usually dont hit that hard and have actually found that I usually wear out the feel of the strings before they break. I highly recommend this combination, especially for those who can only play 3 times or less a week.

Tried these again because I used them many years ago. I ended up breaking them on my 4 th time to hit with them. I recently brought another racquet in to be strung with BLAST strings...these are much better then the VS gut.
