With an open 16x18 string pattern, the new version of the EXO3 Tour provides a livelier response from all over of the court. A very solid feel and more generous sweetspot adds plenty of power and easy access to depth compared to the 18x20 version.
Baseline
From the baseline, you will find easy access to spin thanks to excellent maneuverability and the open string pattern. You will find plenty of power available with good control. I found I had good control on both slice and topspin shots from both forehand and backhand sides. The easy access to spin helped temper the additional power I was getting from the open string pattern.
Volleys
At net the Tour 100 is solid overall, extremely maneuverable and comfortable overall. I found it to be a great performer at net. Attacking net players and anyone playing doubles will love the overall response, control and power at net. I found good touch but the ability to hit put away volleys really stood out.
Serves
On serve I found all the power I needed and generating racquet head speed easy. Spin is excellent and I was able to generate slice and topspin when I needed it. The 100 in head size along with the open string pattern really helped generate power whenever needed. The open pattern again helped with spin production on slice and kick serves.
Overall
A very solid update to previous Ozone Tour models, an overall more solid feel while at the some time offering good pop and excellent spin production.
